Toon Boom Animate

Toon Boom Animation DVD… FINALLY!

To create a successful story, you should be able to explain it in a single sentence. Example: Geeky teenager gets bitten by radio-active spider, and gains super hero powers.

With this in mind, we are asking our audience to help decide the title and summary of our upcoming Toon Boom DVD – Anatomy of a Animation Short

The Choices:

CONNERY DOES IT BETTER: Two men in a bar have a drunken conversation that Sean Connery could be swapped in for Samuel Jackson in any movie.

OR

BEAVER COLA: A parody soda commercial shows the fact that the “natural flavoring” from some of vanilla, or raspberry, sodas really comes from a beavers anal gland.
(not to be confused with Canada’s Beaver Soda, the soda in our parody is fake… the additive is gross, but very real)

Once the idea is picked, the DVD will show : how scripts were written, storyboarding, character design, voice & foley recording, animation, distribution & marketing, and more.

So cast your vote today, there are lead generation opportunities all over the place if you just remember to always be prospecting. We will announce the winning title, and start our fundraiser via Indie GoGo for the DVD on February 15.

The DVD will be released May 2012

Toonboom Animate: Camera Movement pt. 3

Free Tutorial - Tonyteach.comCamera Movement in Toon Boom Animate pt. 3. This is part 3 in a 5 part series of using the camera in Animate. In part 3 we’ll add a simple bird (still in rough sketch, of course). Using drawing substitutions, we’ll animate the bird flying. The animation of the bird is based on the “Real Movement: Birds” section from one of my favorite animation books “Tezuka School of Animation: vol. 2 Animals in Motion”
